Ed is allegedly the oldest member of the partnership. A graduate of Nottingham University, he lives in West Bridgford with his wife Laurie and children, Hannah, Ben and Izzi.

He has represented victims of a wide variety of incidents, including the Marchioness, the Ramsgate Ferry Disaster, the Kegworth Air Crash, and the Soho pub bombing. He specialises in industrial accidents/diseases, and brain and spinal injury claims of maximum severity. He has appeared for the last ten years in the Directory of Legal Experts.

He has lectured widely and contributed to a variety of legal publications. He sits as a Mental Health Tribunal President, and is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Mental Health Law. He is a Trustee, and Vice-Chairperson of Nottingham Headway, and Legal Secretary of the Nottinghamshire Medico-legal Society.

As a keen Leeds United fan, and father of 3 teenage children, Ed is investigating stress free spare time activities.
